I'm Mel, the creator of Soy on the hill.

I launched from humble beginnings over 11 years ago originally on our property in Yarrambat with the stunning views of the Yarra Ranges but with some twists and turns in 2018 it lead my family to embark on a new journey to the leafy streets of Eltham, Victoria. We feel extremely fortunate to be a part of this beautiful community and wouldn't have it any other way.

Being a mum of 3 teenage boys keeps me busy and certainly on my toes at times which makes my recent decision daunting from taking my home based business and embarking on the next level by now having a space away from home. The juggling act of being a mum and creating a brand is now down to a fine art but don't be fooled to what we can produce in a working week ! I am fortunate enough to have some amazing clients that I have worked with from the very beginning of my journey as a candle maker.

I truly love what I do as I have always been creative as a young girl so this is a dream job for me. I love heading to work each day and now entering a space that I have created which I adore and love sharing it with your all.

My products are designed, created and produced by myself which I am most proud of.
